It’s Easy Being Green

Paul

BIG Sunday Update here. Strap in.

The Emerald Birthstone returns today, with Blarney Stone and a guaranteed Limited Rare or Higher, in the special Emerald Pack, available now.

At 12:00 UTC the League Spotlight pack prepares you for the league ahead (see details below). The Limited Legendaries include Cloning and Cloaking Device - both strong cards taking advantage of the additional Futurology buff, and Cloning is handy for the lower Energy league too. And there’s also Megaloceros, to support the Mammals buff if you’re taking that route.

Amazing Astronauts return at 15:00 - no new cards, but a great pack for newer players to catch up with. Gennady Padalka gives a +25 deck buff to Space Technology and Radical Rockets, and Valentina Tereshkova is surely a strong addition to any Space deck…

Lastly - when Philosophy returns at midnight UTC it brings along Heraclitus, who said you can’t step in the same river twice*. This is a strong card, as long as you keep things moving.

NEW LEAGUE TOMORROW:

Tides of Change

It’s time for a change, and with much smaller Energy rules this week, throwing Testudo Formation into your deck won’t be so easy…

Starting Energy :  14

Energy per Turn :  12

Energy Cap :  36

Minimum Energy :  10

Oceans Mammals gets the massive +80 Power this week, a great time for Sperm Whale and Bottlenose Dolphin to join your deck to help conserve Energy (or even Spinner Dolphin if you’re looking to hit your Opponent’s at the same time!). Commerson’s Dolphin might also come in very useful for the Wednesday release!

Watching the Skies’ +60 Power is the perfect time to try out Nostradamus and Greenwich Mean Time, hitting massive numbers if you time it right.

Mammals have +50 Power, so it might be worth stocking up on Energy conservation cards, allowing you to play fan-favorites Arabian Horse and Amazon Sloth!

Futurology gains +40Human Evolution +35 and History of Heartbreak +20 Power.

*(If he saw the River Thames near Hammersmith he’d advise against stepping in it once.)
