Maps to the Stars

There’s a truly eclectic mix of cards in the store today, from tiny dogs to maps of the universe, proving that you really can battle everything agaisnt anything in CUE!

If you hear yapping and the scramble of little paws this morning, it’s because the International Dog Day pack takes a walk around the store at 09:00 UTC. You’re going to love these cuties and there are 3 brand new snoots to boop:

  • Jack Russell Terrier - this playful scamp, while restrained in your hand, at the start of each turn, loses -10 Power, however, when played, if your deck contains 6 or more Dogs cards, this card gains +90 Power permanently in a burst of Energy - but will face an Energy increase when returned to your deck.
  • Miniature Schnauzer - ever looking like a dapper gentleman, while in your hand, at the start of each turn, this card gains +10 Power until played, and if played adjacent to two Dogs cards, it shares the love with +25 Power to all three cards!
  • Doberman - this sleek-looking guard dog will, when drawn, lock a random card in your Opponent's hand this turn then, when played, will give your Dogs cards +16 Power this turn. And then when returned to your deck, will Lock a random card in your hand for the turn!

Remember to bring your telescope at 12:00 UTC because we’re Watching the Skies! Today’s Watching the Skies Gem pack has a new, additional 10% chance of one of the four new cards! As the game grows (and the collections grow with it), we know that searching for the new cards in these packs is becoming more difficult, so we’ve boosted the odds to make these new cards easier to obtain. 4 brand new cards are waiting to give you a guided tour of the stars above us:

  • Celestial Globe - if you’ve ever wanted to know where to spot the stars on any given day, this will help. It’ll also help in CUE as, when drawn, for every Space card you've played this game (up to a maximum of 14) this card will gain +5 Power until played.
  • Planisphere - this star map will come in handy too because, when played, if your deck contains only Space cards, your whole deck will gain +15 Power until played.
  • The Rasmus Sørnes Clocks - if you want to predict eclipses and lunar phases, this is the card for you. When returned to your deck, if your deck has 4 or more Ingenious Inventions, your Ingenious Inventions cards cost -2 Energy for the turn. That’ll save some time!
  • Posidonius - this genius will bring your deck some wisdom as, when drawn, if your deck contains 2 or more Philosophy cards, it’ll give your Watching the Skies cards +15 Power for three turns. Smart.

Even though it’s a busy day in CUE, don’t think we’ve forgotten those Wednesday favorites - Fill Your Cups, Boots and Coffers. They’ll be waiting in the store for you from 09:00 UTC, with bucket loads of gems, coins and cards.
