Max Planck

There are two pillars of modern physics that are currently used to explain the universe. First is Einstein’s Theory of Relativity and second is Max Planck’s Quantum Theory.

But Max didn’t stop there, oh no. Several further discoveries were named after him: Planck’s law, Planck’s constant, and Planck units - and then there is also the Planck era, the Planck particle (a tiny black hole), and the lunar crater... Planck.

Nobel Prize, in the bag.

So the next time someone says that you’re “as thick as two short planks”, take it as a compliment*.

We also have our History of Heartbreak later in the day featuring such violent romantics as Olga of Kiev and Bonnie and Clyde.
