A quick note: We've identified an issue where XP earned isn't always updating correctly in the XP interface. This is a visual issue only - XP is still being awarded and tracked correctly behind the scenes, and no progress is being lost. Sorry for any inconvienice caused, we're working on a fix and expect it to be deployed early next week.
A Russian poet with a temper, a forest that went to space, and a deadline closing in fast. There’s plenty going on in CUE next week…
Down to the wire
You're well on the way with the Friends of the Forest community goal, with three of the four rewards already in the bag. Score calculation closes at midnight on Sunday 22 June, so there's still time to push for the fourth.
If you can't grab your rewards before the buzzer, don't panic: you've got a grace period until Thursday 25 June, 8:59am sharp, to claim them.
Fun Fact of the Week
Do you dare challenge Alexander Pushkin to a duel? Brave. He fought roughly 29 of them. Russia's greatest poet had a reputation for taking offence at speed, which is impressive for a man simultaneously inventing modern Russian literature. Duel number 29 proved fatal: in 1837, a French officer flirted with his wife, and Pushkin lost.
Houston, we have a sapling
This week's new Limited Legendary, the Moon Trees, took the scenic route to your local park. In 1971, astronaut Stuart Roosa carried hundreds of seeds aboard Apollo 14, orbited the moon 34 times, and brought them home. The Forest Service then planted them across America… and forgot to keep records. Some are still out there, unidentified.
Coming your way this week…
