Prepare for Trouble!

It’s Hostile Environments week and we’re starting out with a strong Monday to get you kitted out, trained up and ready to take on the most terrifying of opponents! To begin, at 09:00 UTC, the Survival Kit pack awaits with gems, coins, Limited Legendaries, Limited Epics and Limited Rares, to get you prepped for a dangerous week ahead.

Also at 09:00 UTC, the Hostile Environments League pack smashes into the store with cards from Deep Ocean, Machines of War and Carnivores to pump up your deck (with some more cards for extra ammunition too).

Epic Mondays brings a chance of a strange new Hoaxes and Cons card at 12:00 UTC - the Dahu. This mountain goat cryptid will give your Life on Land cards +12 Power this round but only if placed next to a Majestic Mountains card (which they are known to climb with one leg shorter than the other - bizarre).

At 15:00 UTC in the Arts Finder, you have a chance to find the new Tarot card, the Eight of Swords, which some say warns of a difficult situation that you will have to find your own way out of! On that note, this card loses -10 Power until played and your cards in hand gain +2 until played. A very tricky situation indeed!

Then at 17:00 UTC, the Ancient Creatures pack starts stomping up the store with a chance of an Ancient Creatures card (strangely enough) and some extra cards so you can claw your way to victory.

Last but not least, it’s time for something completely different. Sometimes you need something a little bit fluffier than all these frightening beasts and as it’s International Cat Day, you all know we couldn’t let that go by! At 09:00 UTC, pick up the International Cat Day pack with a chance at one of three pawesome new cat cards (and some bonus basics too):

  • Snowshoe, a blue-eyed cutie which, if your deck has 9 or more Cute Cats cards, reduces their cost by -1 Energy until played.
  • Savannah Cat, which will give your Common and Rare Cute Cats and Common and Rare Cool Cats +24 Power until played.
  • LaPerm, which loses -5 Power from the start but gains +20 Power on return. Because it’s just too damn fluffy.

Now that you’ve had cuteness overload, let’s return to trembling with fear with a look at what’s coming in this week’s League Rules:

—--------------------

LEAGUE RULES

—--------------------

There is a ridiculous amount of Energy to play with this week. It’s time to go wild and maximise on your Power - there is a Starting Energy of 30, Energy per Turn of 30, Energy Cap of 60 and no Minimum Energy. Make the most of it - Leagues like this don’t come around too often!

Deep Ocean picks up a massive +90 Power, so Dumbo Octopus will be in very high demand, giving +25 Power PERMANENTLY to all of your Common and Rare Deep Ocean cards.

You won’t want to bother with Machines of War’s Energy reductions, but the Power drawn from M4 Sherman, Stainless Steel and Napoleon and Josephine should come in very handy, alongside the +80 Power Arena Boost it gets this week too.

Carnivores gets +60 Power, and while it suits being played in a Mono Paleo deck, if you wanted to try a Rainbow variation, it gets buffs from both the Red Panda and Drop Bear.

Climate Change, Planetside and Land Before Time all pick up +50 Power Arena Boosts too.
