Remember, Remember, the 5th of November

‍Recently there have been reports rolling in of new cards not displaying in packs, but fear not! It's not a nasty Bonfire Night surprise and can be easily remedied by going through the settings menu and selecting "Refresh Collection" before opening any of the new packs.

We are investigating the issue and should have a fix for you all soon. We apologise for any confusion in the mean time!

“Remember, Remember, the 5th of November, the gunpowder treason and plot. I can think of no reason why the gunpowder treason should ever be forgot!” It’s Guy Fawkes night here in the UK and what better way to celebrate someone getting caught trying to commit mass murder and general destruction than launching explosives into the sky and burning some effigies?!

In the spirit of Bonfire Night, we’re starting off with the Guy Fawkes pack which includes 3 brand new Rites and Rituals cards, all of which are our top 3 effigies for burning (now that’s a Buzzfeed list waiting to happen…) 

  • Penny for the Guy - back in the day (whenever that was), kids used to take their Guy Fawkes scarecrow and go round and ask neighbours for pennies and sweets to fuel their pyromania so, when drawn, if your deck contains Gunpowder and the Houses of Parliament, burn this card until played, and give your History cards +30 Power this turn.
  • The Effigy of Marzanna - see off winter by burning and then drowning the deity Marzanna, that’s sure to do the trick so, when drawn, lock this card for two turns and Burn it for two turns then, when returned to your deck, give your common Life on Land cards +20 Power for two turns.
  • The Wicker Man - if Christopher Lee sacrificing straightlaced policemen to the gods of the harvest is your cup of tea then, when returned to your deck, if your deck contains at least 7 Mammals cards, give them -7 Power until played, and give this card +70 Power permanently.

Of course, if you’d prefer to stay away from setting things on fire so early on a Saturday morning, there’s always the Weekend Warrior with a chance for either a Limited Rare or a Limited Epic!

Hoist the mainsail with the Shiver Me Timbers History Album pack and steal a chance to pick up the giant pirate Pier Gerlofs Donia. Big Pier will, when drawn, reduce the Energy cost of your Plundering Pirates cards by 1 until played. And, when played next to two Riding the Waves cards, give your Common Plundering Pirates cards +20 Power until played.

If you’re still up late to watch the fireworks, you might want to keep an eye on the Dogs pack, because the poor things hate fireworks! Keep your pets inside! Especially the new American Pit Bull Terrier. This strong pup will, when drawn, if your deck contains at least 4 Dogs cards, give your Dogs cards +16 Power until played, and Lock your Dogs cards in hand for the rest of the round.
