The Good, the Bad and the Kind of Creepy

A new week is upon us which means a brand new theme and a brand new league! This week, we’re bringing you Good vs Evil so expect the good, the bad, and the very very weird! Full League rules are included below but let’s get to looking at a busy day ahead.

To start, we’ve got the Good vs Evil League Pack at 09:00 UTC with cards from History of Heartbreak, Deep Ocean or Aztec Mythology. Also at 09:00 UTC we’ve got a smashing start to your week with the Battle Ready Bargain Pack, containing a hoard of gems, coins and Limited Legendaries, Epics and Rares.

Then raise your horns at 12:00 UTC as new card Baphomet rocks into the game in the Epic Mondays Pack. This card will not only give adjacent (and opposite!) cards a devilishly good +25 Power but it’ll also give all cards in play a cost of -1 Energy for a round.

Things get a bit creepy from 15:00 UTC in the History Finder with a chance for the new Rat King card. This horrible tangle of rodents will give your cards in hand +15 Power while Rat King will lose -13 Power permanently, providing a perfect example of this week bringing both the good and the evil to CUE.

This week’s Energy Rules give us a Starting Energy of 60, an Energy per Turn of 6, an Energy Cap of 90 and Minimum Energy of 6. Don’t be fooled by a massive Energy Cap - your Energy needs to be carefully monitored this week!

Thanks to some lovely Common buffs (from Knight’s Templar, Domitian and Bare-Tailed Woolly Opossum), and the Squirrel Glider card, Dogs and Fearsome Flyers are getting some love - even more so this week when they pick up +30 Power each. 

Japanese Yen is a handy card for managing your Energy, which picks up Money, Money, Money’s +40 Arena Boost, and speaking of Common decks, Dumbo Octopus’ enormous +25 permanent Power to Common Deep Ocean cards could really get some play this week, as Deep Ocean picks up +50 Power.

If you’re trying out the Aztec Rulers combo to make use of the +60 Power Boost for Aztec Mythology, don’t forget to add Amaranth to your deck, while History of Heartbreak gets +70 Power. It could be worth trying out a Rainbow deck with boosts from Kemp’s Ridley Sea Turtle, Bridegroom’s Oak and Iseult!
