The Mobile Game of Theseus

Dan

Today we release the Paradoxymoron pack, our latest curated pack, featuring cards that either don't make a lot of sense or have some kind of paradox to them. Yes, it's a miracle this one got past marketing but it's coming today and it's got four new cards to find.

The new Limited Epic card, The Set of All Sets, poses the question "if it's a barbers job to shave everyone in a village who does not shave themselves, who shaves the barber?" and, honestly, it's far too metaphysical for a lowly news post. Find the card to find out more, or ask your dad.

We've also got the Ship of Theseus, a thought experiment that posits that if all the components of an object are replaced, is it still the same object? If you ask your dad about that one, chances are he'll go "oh, Trigger's Broom!", but there's a more relevant example - CUE itself.

CUE began life, back in the primordial mists of 2017, as Card Explorer and, as time went by, we developed it and developed it until it became the CUE you know today. But in the process, we changed the game engine - is it still Card Explorer, even though it does all the things that game did?

No, no it's not; it's way better now and we changed the name. Actually, we're a bad example of the Ship of Theseus - go watch Wandavision instead if you're still not sure.
