A new batch of rainforest-themed Shinies is now in the wild! Red Panda, Red-Eyed Tree Frog, and other non-red things like African Grey and Blue Pinkgill.
Cyanide & Hairiness
This week's new Limited Legendary, the Golden Bamboo Lemur, survives by eating giant bamboo, which contains enough cyanide to kill several humans daily. How they tolerate it remains a mystery. Western scientists didn't even know these poison-proof primates existed until 1987.
Fun Fact of the Week
Did you know the fate of the whole chocolate industry depends on midges? Although they're mostly known for ruining picnics, these tiny flies are also the only pollinators that fit cacao's awkward little flowers. They breed in damp rainforest leaf litter – so, without the forest, there are no midges. No midges, no Mars bar.
