With great power comes great responsibility…

This week: planets take on comets, humans take on trees, anteaters take on ants, and we nerf some cards (the “responsibility” part is still loading).

Here's what we've got cooking at CUE...

Nerfs incoming
This Monday brings a small balance patch with five nerfs. Nothing dramatic, just a bit of equilibrium restored where things had drifted at the top of the meta. Full details to follow.

Humans: 1 – Trees: 0

The Tree of Ténéré spent 300 years pulling off the impossible: staying alive, alone, in the middle of the Sahara. Its roots reached 30 metres down to secret groundwater. And after three centuries of defeating the harshest desert on Earth, how did it die? A drunk truck driver reversed into it. We really are an incredible species.

Fun fact of the week

In July 1994, telescopes across Earth witnessed a murder. The killer? Jupiter. The victim? Shoemaker-Levy 9, a comet ripped into 20 pieces by Jupiter's gravity, then dragged in one fragment at a time over six days. Each impact left a scar bigger than Earth. Jupiter's now considered the Solar System's gravitational bouncer.

Coming your way this week…

Zoom in on Under the Microscope, find a new shell with the Crustaceans, then cash in with Money, Money, Money. Get spooked in Japanese Folklore, wander among Tremendous Trees, and orbit The Solar System.
