Fire Element

The Fire Element represented ambition, courage, drive and determination. According to Greek philosopher Heraclitus, the Fire Element was the most important as it gave rise to the other elements.

Greek philosophy held that the Universe comprised four elements: Fire, Water, Earth and Air.  They supposed that everything they came into contact with was in one of these four states (coming into contact with fire is not recommended.)

But they were also symbolic of aspects of the human mind - the Fire Element representing ambition, courage, drive and determination.  According to Greek philosopher Heraclitus, the Fire Element was the most important as it gave rise to the other elements.

He also believed the soul was made up of fire and water, and the ultimate “soul goal” was to get rid of the water and become pure fire. Ironically, Heraclitus died of Edema - a condition in which fluid collects under the skin.
